Freestyle Fitness has been running pole fitness classes in the Louth area for a number of years now, with many participants competing in national competitions. Pole Dancing is a fantastic way to exercise, it tones and strengthens your whole body and the classes are great fun. Pole Dancing is a fantastic form of exercise and as well as providing a great cardiovascular workout. The art form can assist to improve upper body and core strength, improve co-ordination and balance and help make you feel fantastic. Freestyle Fitness is the first to bring pole dance exercise classes to Louth.

 

For better grip on the pole it is advisable to wear something that leaves your legs and arms exposed, i.e shorts and a vest top, however it is more important that you attend the classes in something you feel comfortable in so any gym wear is acceptable with either bare feet or trainers. Please do not come to classes with any oils or lotions on any part of the body as this can cause you to lose grip and slip which can result in serious injury. Jewellery should also be removed. All pole fitness classes will consist of a warm up and cool down, a technical break down of level appropriate tricks and spins and instruction on ways of combining the moves to suit your style. No dance experience is required and pole fitness is suitable for both men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes. Class numbers are kept small to ensure you feel comfortable and receive all the attention from the instructor that you require to progress.

 

Participants are required to start with beginners classes, even if you have dance or gymnastics experience. Beginners classes will help you develop the strength, coordination and skills needed to perform the more advanced moves safely.

 

Please be prepared for some bruising and pole  burn when you first start. I assure you this improves with time.
