On Friday 18th April we held an amateur pole dancing competition at Kai’s Bar in Louth. The competition was open to anyone, man or woman, over the age of 18 years who has never made money from pole dancing (either from working in a club or from teaching).
The evening went really well and we had a fantastic turn out. The event started at 9pm with a game and a fantastic demonstration from Eve, an advanced instructor from Sheffield. All competitors did really well and we all saw a range of different dance styles incorporated onto the pole. The winner was Alana Hayden from North Somercotes, who has only ever had one pole dancing lesson but has a history of studying gymnastics. Alana demonstrated great ability when performing pole tricks on a spinning pole as well as accurate timing and an overall entertaining performance.
We would like to thank everyone who came along to make it such as successful evening and it was great to see so many girls from class come up and show their skills on the pole. We would also like to say thank you to Kai’s Bar in Louth for allowing us use of their bar for the night and providing the prizes for the competition.
